CADEIO and the BCEIA are offering the introductory level Institute for Ecumenical Leadership every year. This year join us from Sunday evening, July 12 through Thursday, July 16. It will be held at St. Paul College next door to Catholic University and the USCCB in Washington, DC.

The Institute will be led by Msgr. John Radano, former staff member of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity, and former chair of the Relgious Studies Department at Seton Hall University. The faculty includes Father John Crossin, OSFS, who currently serves as the Director of the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, USCCB. The Institute is open to new ecumenical and interreligious officers, commission members, diocesan leaders, members of religious orders, seminarians, theology students and interested laity. The cost per participant is $ 650 (for those from arch/dioceses that are current with their CADEIO dues). Register on-line here

The program will give a solid foundation in church documents in teaching ecumenical leadership and give a thorough understanding of the width and depth of relationships with ecumenical partners and the art of dialogue. Due to its shortened length, it will be concentrated with presentations and will include a reading list of documents which will need to be read in advance.
