Register now for CADEIO Institutes for Continuing Formation

Please be in communication with your region reps and others members you know who may not yet be receiving these emails or don’t find them in their spam folders!  Please forward the link to this post liberally to your colleagues and friends — even your bishops, if you think they might be interested in  addition to the National Workshop on Christian Unity this year in Charlotte,  I would like to call your attention to an unprecedented opportunity for those who would be interested in attending our:

1.  CADEIO Interreligious Leadership Institute (Register by March 27) and our

2.  Introductory Ecumenical Leadership Institute (Register by May 22) this Summer, both in Washington DC.

You can register for these Institutes under the “Programs” link above.

1.    This May we are scheduling the CADEIO Interreligious Leadership Institute Sunday night to Saturday, May 17-23 concurrently with the Nostra Aetate Conference at Catholic University (May 19-21) to include as a part of our curriculum the presentations by Cardinals Koch, Tauran and Dolan, as well as the many other presentations that are available during the daytime.  You can find this schedule of presentations at CUA’s Conference webpage.  It is incredible. ADD TO THAT a selection of presenters who are religious leaders in the DC area, a number of group discussions and time to process the development of dialogue among Jews and Muslims and Catholics, and end the Institute on Saturday morning as part of a limited guest list with Cardinal Tauran, local interreligious leaders and the Durga Temple of Virginia.\ We have reserved 15 nice rooms (the only available rooms in the area) at Trinity University of Washington, two blocks from Catholic University, where we will stay and hold our discussions in the evenings. CADEIO stands behind its offer to provide this opportunity to participants at a maximum cost of $999 to those whose arch / dioceses are current with their Association dues.  This year, this will include lodging AND the registration fee for the Nostra Aetate Conference at CUA.  As I said, an opportunity that will not present itself again.  Even if you have attended the Interreligious Institute in the past, this one will stretch and complete work that you have begun before. We can hold the rooms only until the end of March, so I will need to hear from any interested persons before Friday, March 27.

2.  Our Introductory Ecumenical Leadership Institute will be held July 13-16 at St. Paul College next door to the USCCB offices in Washington DC (across the street from Trinity University!)  The program will feature several speakers, led by Monsignor Jack Radano and Fr. John Crossin OSFS of the Secretariat.  The purpose of this Institute is to help newly-appointed Ecumenical Officers and arch/diocesan commission members (anyone, really who could benefit from the information – people in ministry of any kind) get acquainted with the ecumenical spirit and documents of the Church in relationship with other Christian communities.  We will begin Monday night and end Thursday at noon.  The cost will be $650 for those from dioceses which are current with their Association dues. The deadline for registration for the Introductory Ecumenical Institute at St. Paul College is Friday, May 22, 2015.
